Are these temps ok for 2500k on Aegir?

Got an Aegir with gelid GC Extreme thermal goo on my i2500k.

My first mounting of the heatsink was apparently too tight because the edge of the IHS put a dent into one of the outer 6mm heatpipes on the Aegir. I suspect this changes the geometry/surface of the pipe enough to render it mostly ineffective. So I was concerned it wasn't going to cool well.

But I'm not quite sure what to expect.

My case temp (via motherboard sensor) is about 30c idle 32c load. (I have a 200mm side fan in my haf 922 so there's crazy airflow) The ambient temp in the room is about 26c. I'm using realtemp 2.65 to get temps.

--Stock 3.4ghz (the turbo never kicked in for some reason, so it was 3.4 solid)
3.5 hours of prime95 blend torture test max temps (all 4 cores)
54/56/52/54

--4 ghz using the optimized preset/auto voltage
p95 blend torture test 30 minutes peak temps
57/60/58/58

Using the intel burn test 5 runs at very high
57/61/58/58

--4.4 ghz preset
prime95 blend torture 20 minutes max temps
58/64/62/62

--4.6 ghz preset
p95 torture test blend for 30 minutes max temps
65/70/68/68
intel burn test 5x very high
64/71/69/68
Idle temps
31/31/26/29

The Aegir is supposed to be very good air cooler right behind the best, but those temps are somewhat worrying to me. Not dangerous, but it seems like it can do better.

What temps should I be expecting? Is the dented heatpipe likely causing me problems? Is it worth replacing the heatsink?

Thanks.

They seem... okay, but the review sites seemed to suggest that the Aegir wasn't that far behind the top coolers. For example, what are you getting on your d14 at 4.5ghz? It should be maybe 3-4c cooler than me if my heatsink was working right I'd think.

Well if seated correctly and given time for your tim to cure if it needs to then everything else is dependent on case air flow and ambient temp.

For instance right now i am idling at 28c and my lowest idle was 24,26,25,26.

my x45 multi with a ten hour run in prime my temps were 67,73,72,71 , but this was done over night next to a window lol , my lowest being right before the test 10,13,9,15

my x45 multi with a 12 hour run at prime my max temps were 83,94,93,89,with min temps of 22,24,24,24 at the start of the test , the temps were higher because it ran into the afternoon, and ambient shot up (i live in southern NM).

Control your ambient as much as possible when doing synthetic stuff like prime. Although sometimes you just cant like when my test ran into the middle of the day.
Your temps are fine for a cooler that ranks a bit before the silver arrow and d14.

Now get some serious benches in !!! he he hope this helped mate!

EDIT:I run a danger den torture rack, if you wanted to know.
EDIT: Here is a link to my thread that has a lot of in depth OCing info and OCing results.

It's weird how temps seem to vary so much between people with the same equipment. I wonder if it's all the quality of the mounting/thermal paste application/etc or what, because some people with D14s report temps like yours and some report them way lower. I still don't really know if my temps are good or not since people report them all over the place even with the same coolers.
