also spray paint wont scratch once its clear coated.

yeah I've seen the white one and i believe it's KC Flip's

It would be a great mod to my antec 300 though and it goes with my white table, but idk which right paint to use that is good on pc case. Something that wont chip or scratch when I slide my drives in the hdd bay. Cuz i've seen some painted case and some of them has some funky scratches after installing the hardware in the case i.e. the bottom and upper part of the chassis where the side panel slides in and makes contact.

I'll have to do some testing with my paints.
@Gian
If you do proper prep and get good paint the paint shouldn't chip off. Think of how the grey interior of the a300 doesn't chip or scratch easily. That's what we're after I guess but it's pretty hard to get that amount of scratch resistency

^^ Not really. after i clear coated mine i couldn't get the paint off by scratching it off with my nail or with a knife.

Yeah, but you know how the hdd are fitted very snug in the hdd bay, do you think the paint will not scratch or crack when I slide my hdd in? Cuz I've had some bad experience with paints. Do you use paint in cans or paint guns using compressor? Because I've only used cans and maybe thats why my paint sucks or perhaps how i prepped things

btw your pics aren't all loading. I see some of them once in a while, but never all at the same time. Tinypic is having a hard time i think. I tried to go to their site, but it wouldn't load. I tried to sign in, but it took forever. I have Fios btw 35Mbits down, 25Mbits up.

no it won't scratch or crack.... as long as you do a good job. The clear coat is VERY hard to scratch / break.

Weird that the pics aren't loading, mine load fine. BTW I have ALMOST finished sleeving the psu, In the end the only thing I didn't sleeve was the 6+2pin PCI-E extra power, but I left it on just in case. I cut down, resoldered alot of the PSU as I only needed 1 sata power, 1 4-pin molex for my fan controller, and then 8pin cpu, 24pin atx connector, 6pin and 6+2pin PCI-E's. I was pretty worried about cutting off the connectors I didn't need, but did it in the end.
Things I still have to do (PSU):
-Paint PSU covers white, clearcoat them.
-Cut out a black or white mesh for the PSU (Yes I got rid of the super ugly stock Truepower mesh)
-Figure out a way to mount the PSU, as the holes which usually attach the PSU are facing backwards. Probably going to be a strap or something.
Then the PSU should be done, I'll get my rig running and be more excited to finish modding the CASE.
Case modding to follow:
-Make sure there are no problems in the reverse-atx layout.
-Decide places for the cable management holes.
-Figure out pump mounting, hdd mounting, tubing issues and stuff.
-Paint.
-Rivet it together and be like "yay, I've got a case!"

Then one thing I need help with, concerning the PSU. Can I install the socket and some capacitors that are attached to the PSU AC sockets PCB in the rear wall, then just extend the wires to go to where the PSU is? I mean the thing that is in these pictures on the exhaust grill. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...=Story4&reid=1
Thanks for any help and stuff. I'll try to keep you updated, and I might as well go take some cool shots of the sleeved cables, which turned out pretty nice considering I used about 5 euros total on the whole project
EDIT: pics, horrible lighting and really noisy but hey, pics!
PSU cables

Oh yeah, Gian, your A300 mod is super awesome! I really like that it's done well and all that attention to detail, wow.

Thanks, even if my mod was a uber simple mod . I find a metal file is a modders best pal .

btw don't make the same mistake I did when I was drilling my 4pinATX cable mgmt hole, in your case 8pinATX. Well I guess you can't make the same mistake i did since you derevit the case . I can't wait to see your clean rounded corner cable management holes + ofcourse the white paint and the 360 rad.

I'll change my comp time to 2012 so I don't have to wait for your updates and see the finished product right away .

edit: btw it sucks that I can't all see the pics....I see some of them load, but not all . I hope to see your next pics with no problem, well atleast your latest pic showed up .

bamp for switching to imageshack on the latest pictures.

I'll try to do my best, and it makes things easier that I can get my comp running in a moment (not in the case) because the PSU will be in one piece again.

How sad, this project was on page 2 :_(

Anyways, I have (finally) figured out what to do with the exterior.
When I bought this case, the nice and simple "super airflow über gaming case" look was nice, but I've grown up a little bit (in 3 years).
What I want is a really sleek looking front, hiding the radiator and everything.
Ta-daa

So, it'll be one piece, from the bottom front corner to the back. What you can't see in the pic is that the back of the "roof" isn't covered, and I will be making holes or something similar in the sides of the roof. The front will be totally covered up.
This design will make my case look bigger (yay!) and make sure that no noise can get out in a straight path, so it will be more quiet.

I've really been drooling at smexy brushed aluminum, but I can't incorporate that in this build as I want to anodize it black, and the rest of the chassis would have to be painted or something, as you can't anodize steel. It wouldn't look good so for this mod I'll be using steel and painting it white.

After I finish this mod and get bit by thhe modding bug again, I'll be making a brushed, anodized aluminum case from scratch. (I wonder how long that will take seeing that this is taking this long )

P.S. desoldering AC plugs is absolutely awful! I need 3 hands!
