Do I have enough rad? - Page 3

begjr2, i only use mATX motherboards. MM assured me i could fit the RX240 on the "front" (cpu side) with fans, internally, but without shroud. did you find this to not be the case?

on the "rear" section (PCI side), since i'm using a mATX board, i expect to be able to fit an RX240 with fans and 25mm shroud internally.

do you disagree?

*edit* and just in case, how does the RX compare to the RS and Black Ice GTS? any info/charts?
thanks! look likes the GTS is still for higher RPM fans than my Gentle Typhoons.
I'm at work and too lazy to find charts and things, but the way I understood it is the RX is best with low speed fans and RS is better with higher speed fans. Going for silence, I chose RX. However, I dislike the paint finish on my rads as just bumping them the slightest bit and the paint chips off. Won't be buying a window now .

For the GTS I think I read a chart that said it wins < 1000 rpm and less then the RX is better above 1000rpm for the slower fans. No idea where I found it though.

hmm, still sounds like RX is the way to go. i need to hear back from begjr on the H2gO. worst case, i'm sure i can fit at least one 240 and one RX 120 on the bottom.

I have to totally disagree with MM cause wife has a Marx board and after with some experimenting with case. It would be real tight that's why I ended up returning my rx for the blk ice

Sorry to bust r bubble but the 120 rx will be a tight fit to cause it mounts to thee hidden bracket. Which is also where u hide all ur wires. I could take a pic of my rig but it would be about 6 hrs cause I'm at work. It would give u a better visual of myh rads relatted to my mobo

hmm, wow. ok. so you don't think i could fit even one? just to be clear. thanks for taking the time.

*edit* i'd still love some pics of your rig if you're willing. it would help give me a sense of the space inside. thanks, i'd really appreciate it. whenever you get the chance.

U might be able to fit a rx at the top front but I wouldn't recend it. NP man I wish I had someone to help me. Don't get me wrong I love my case just had to be creative

ok, so now i'm much more concerned about space. =)

does anyone have any opinions about the Swiftech MCR220-QP and how it performs? obviously it's a lot thinner at 34mm depth. any idea how much performance will be lost compared to the RX240?

*edit* ok, so it's looking like, from my research, that the MCR220-QP could be a great viable alternative. it appears to be only slightly worse than the RX240, and is much thinner. i'd love to hear thoughts from people about substituting 2 MCR220s into this loop. how do you think it will handle this load?
