OKay I'm gonna get the TiHD, I'll pick it up at Best Buy after work tonight. I'll post my impressions too.
I am very skeptical about sound-cards but will see if this actually blows me away

Oh forgot to answer that. Yes, it does. When you plug a headphone in the front header, it auto-mutes the RCA output in the back of the card.
