Crucial m4 or Intel 510 ?

Hey guys I was wondering if you had a choice between Crucial m4 and Intel 510 which one would you choose if price didn't matter?

I wanted to go Intel but the random read/write on the 510 really worries me. I need this drive to last a few years and be fast with software & games in the future.

I need games to load fast and more importantly I don't want any sort of slow downs if I'm multi tasking a game + browsers etc.

Is the slow random speeds of the intel something to worry about ?

You have identified the right issue with 510. I would go with M4 because I have seen it in action on my Friend's laptop. Its awesome and just works!

Between the two, it is a hard choice. They are basically the same drives with the same controller and NAND. Their firmware is really the only difference. For reliability, Intel would be better but not by much. As you said the performance tuning was a bit different. If the random read and write matters to you the C300 would actually be the best choice. It has a longer life expectancy and better random read. It is cheaper but has lower sequential performance.

Crucial C300 or m4, whichever is cheaper. C300, despite being older, still rocks.
