Lancool k62/63, CM HAF 922, CM 690 II Advanced or any other recommendations?

Thread Starter
So I have a budget of a little over $100 to spend on a new case. I've upgraded an acer 5630 over the years and I finally want to get a new case for both better cooling (air) and to eventually build a new pc in (next year). All of these cases are within my budget currently but I can't really decide between them. Also I know that my microatx motherboard (acer EG31M) can be removed and fitted into other cases as people have done it before (Someone moved it into an antec 900).

Rest of my current specs:
Q6600 @ 2.4GHz
4 Gb DDR2 ram
5770
Corsair 550 PSU

Kind of outdated but it still plays everything at near max or max settings at 1680x1050. Thanks!

Edit: Included pics of motherboard

Edit 2: After looking over the cases I'm going to go with the K63; the only thing stopping me was how it looked but after seeing the pictures on this page it looks fine. The only problem I have now is that the standoffs in this case come pre-installed. Are they removable? Would they fit into the 8 standoff holes in my motherboard?

That case looks like it has downs syndrome. Get a 922 or a CM 690 II.

Both are great aircoolers and with little to no mods will fit plenty of rads for liquid cooling. 690II is best bet for $ spent.

Edit- That case is hideous, Lancool was doing some big things and now this? That thing would still look out of place on the short bus. It should list these requirements under features, "must wear a retainer and head gear to effectively pull off look". I've never bashed a product before but that box is the holy grail of fail.

Get the CM 690 II Advanced.

- Great Airflow.
- Nice Mid Tower Size
- Fan Options
- Rad Options
- XDoc
- The Price is a huge help. You can use the extra money elsewhere

I'm sure the standoffs are removable.

If you can wait a week or two and like the looks of it, I'd definitely grab Fractal Design Arc Midi, it's supposed to (and everything points at it) dethrone 690 II as THE mid-tower case.

This new fractal case, any information on pricing? And what makes it better than the 690?
Some people recommend the Blackhawk over the 690. The design is about the same, but the interior and cooling are slightly better. It also has front USB 3.0, and maybe a couple other things that the 690 does not.

That Fractal looks good too.

Edit: If your only concern is cooling, 922 likely wins. However, it's ugly, inside and out; not to mention quite large and heavy. Also, I'd advise against it if you think you'll have to mess with a heatsink retention plate after installing it the first time. The cut-out on the tray is too damn small for most setups. I'm not sure how they messed that up. You could always bust out a dremel, though.

I'd wait for the Corsair 400R and 500R too, which should be 100$ and 130$.

They look like decent cases aswell.

It look's better and has native support for a thick 240 rad up top due to offset mounting holes. It also has better cable management. I forgot about the Arc Midi, I'd wait a few more weeks for it to come out as its supposed to be priced to target the 690.
