Your CPU maybe bottlenecks a bit causing lag. Throw a 3.9GHz overclock on it.

When buying a video your better off looking at reviews on sites like tomshardware.com or even reviews people have done on ocn then looking at things like core and memory clock. In reality you have a great video card there, my 5850 which is a worse cards plays 99% of games fine, albeit not always at the max settings.

I unlocked 1GB model ! And it overclocks same as 2GB no difference, it depends on sample, some 1GB cards will overclock better than 2GB models and vice versa...

On 1080p cards are the same, not a single FPS difference !

1gb model is fine. mine's oc's fine and runs cool. I run it stock if frames are above 60fps, and if i need more, i have binded hotkeys so i can just press 2 buttons to increase/decrease clockspeeds

if you don't have a dual bios and you screw up, then maybe you can blindflash back. some 1gb models have dual bios and some don't. Its better to unlock than to flash a 6970 bios onto your card from what I've read.
