Drivers wouldnt technically be a OS problem. Insert the disc that came with your mobo, let it auto run. Use the tab button on your keyboard to navigate the screen, and the space bar to select what you want.

When you purchase a new motherboard, you have to install the chipset drivers for it. Chipset drivers pretty much enable the functionality of many if not all the things on your motherboard.

For example, if I didn't install my chipset drivers my internet & mouse wouldn't work. Chipset drivers come with/in the disk that came with your motherboard.

Basic video, mouse, and keyboard drivers are present in the OS and don't really need to be installed by some other source.

Actually, that's not correct. If you hook your mouse/keyboard up to for example the USB 3.0 ports, you have to install the chipset drivers for those devices to even function.

Try booting up with the mouse in the front USB port.

if the mobo has a different chipset than the old one, then you want to reinstall your OS

Log on windows and plug the mouse cable into a usb 2.0 (as stated above 3.0 won't work out the box)
Install the chipset drivers.
