Laptop/s. One of 3 ?

Thread Starter
Hello !

I am going to buy - basicly , need to buy , a new laptop in ~1-2 weeks. Price Max - 1200$.

What I want : 2 core or higher CPU , 2 GB RAM or higher , 320 GB HDD or higher , 17 inch display or higher , 1600 x 900 resolution or 1920x1080 resolution , Mid-High range or better GPU.

Those are specs. Also I want it to be durable , stable , steady ummm screen when opened so it doesn't wobble etc.

I have 3 models in mind.

http://www.dateks.lv/cenas/3/53844_t...7_hp_64bit.php

http://www.dateks.lv/cenas/3/54260_d...7_hp_64bit.php

http://www.dateks.lv/cenas/3/54990_d..._pro_64bit.php

If you click '' Parametri '' , you can see specifications.

Difference.

Toshiba Satellite L775-11C - 640 GB HDD 5400rpm , 2 core CPU , Win7 Home Premium 64bit
Dell Inspiron N7110 - 640 GB HDD 5400rpm , 4 core CPU exactly as Vostro , Win7 Home Premium 64bit
Dell Vostro 3750 - 500 GB HDD 7200rpm , 4 core CPU exactly as Inspiron , Win7 Pro 64bit

So , only differences are listed above bascicly.

And now , some questions.

1. If I play some games with 2 core Toshiba , and then with other two laptops which has 4 cores , will I fell or see any major difference ?

2. If looking at screen , then which screen is better from these 3 ? Like in contrast , picture quality and if I go outside , then which one has more visible picture ? I'm really concerned about screen.

3. It - laptop umm , I guess it's called lid ? Well , the screen , it will be opened and closed ~20-40 times a day , after some while some screws could probably un-tighten. And the screen will get wobbly , like move when laptop is moving. Which one of these 3 would have like umm , most umm sturdy?? screen ?

Please , please , please , answer to my questions.

And what do you guys / girls think , which one is better if not looking at CPU , GPU , HDD , OS. Like in quality and , like about screen , questions above. ?

I've been on some other forums , but sadly no-one gave me a umm correct answer , just only few guesses.

So , besides CPU , GPU and other stuff , just depending on quality , display , temperatures etc. you'd say 3rd one ? Dell Vostro 3750 ?

p.s. Do you know the difference between glossy and not glossy screen ? Vostor has not glossy , what's the difference ?

Glossy means you can reflect images off of it like a mirror. Basically you can see your self in the monitor.

So , Dell Vostor 3750 doesn't have glossy screen , that's a good thing then.

Ok , at first I though Matte - anti-glossy screen would be great , but then I read , that picture quality is not that good and colours are not so bright , like lifelike. But , then I found some pictures , with matte and glossy screen [ 2 models with different screens compared ] and matte - anti-glossy screen looked very nice , some not so nice.

So now , I found out , that this model which I chose , has glossy screen. Is it a big Con ?

Which one should I take , if I find this 3750 with matte screen. Matte or glossy then ?

I also read , that they don't make matte screens on this model , some may be out I guess.

glossy screen can disturb you with reflections especially is there is a light behind you! I prefer the matte! they're also easy to fix when it comes to scratches!
