You can thank our atmosphere for that one. Oh, and by the time the radiation actually reached us (seeing as the event happened many light years away), it had grown quite a bit weaker.

Hah and I love Hangar 18, in fact the entire Rust in Peace album is my favorite. Peace Sells is my 2nd fav but I have it as my avatar because of the kickass artwork

Yes I know our atmosphere protects us more importantly O3 or ozone is what does it but the amount of radiation from a quasar it too much.

Nope! I doubt you'll notice anything but a bit of disturbance in radio communications. Our atmosphere has been dealing with stuff like this since the beginning of time.
