Just hope one of these next gen GPUs, AMD or NVIDIA, lands before BF3.

Would hate to play BF3 on low/med settings with my GTX 470.

If not just get another one, there pretty cheap as it is right now and will only get cheaper by the time BF3 is released.

Think I'll skip the 7 series, and instead just buy an extra 6970 to run crossfire.
Unless for some reason the 6970 in crossfire don't work that great on the new PCI-e 3.0 and performance difference with 7 series is big enough

Yea all this power sounds great, but what if the price is all jacked up. Supposedly it would save more money because it uses less die, but AMD can sell it at what they want. I just got enough money for 2 6950's and that might not be the case with the 7xxx series.

Not if Nvidia's 28nm cards come out at the same time. It's never been price being proportional to performance, but price proportional to what the other guy offers.
