My H70 Temps (Yet another)

Thread Starter
So I've read what seems to be dozens of threads of people asking if their H70 temps are OK. I have that very same question, because unlike them, I am running mine at stock with some pretty high idle temps.

On average right now my idle temps (depending upon the core) range from as low as 30 to as high as 39 according to Coretemp. It usually averages around 2 cores being at 32,33 and the other 2 at 37, 38.

Base information, I recently replaced my stock h70 fans with gt ap-15s in an intake push/pull config. I didn't really see to much of an improvement except for on load temps and even that had some disparity with it after a while of running prime 95.

I live in Texas, and we try and keep the house during the day at around 24.5 degrees celsius, with my room seeming to run a little hotter than the rest of the house because of my computer.

I was wondering if I should reseat my h70, and if so would I need to take everything out in order to do it all again.

Thanks in advance.

Tbh those temps are not bad at all as you are in Texas and the room temp is 25oc.

Have re-seating the h70 and isnt such a bad thing could help lower the temps a few degree's
post #3 of 22
Have air being intaken into the PC and directly though the Rad in a push/pull as stated by Corsair themselves for best performance. Only reseat if your confident that you can get a better mount this time round. Also make sure the pump is running at max speed

I know I've got quite a few options for thermal paste if I wanted to try. I actually had a friend seat it for me the first time since this was my first build and wanted it done by someone who had done it before.

Yea it's on intake. I believe I have the pump going at full, is there anyway to make sure?

Those are pretty good temps, as long as you stay under 70 on an OC, you're fine.

I think it should be 1400rpm unless the H70 has a slower pump? I've heard of some H70 base blocks being unlevel causing bad temps.
