Can't believe no one has suggested ArmA2 as a benchy. It has one built in already.

Well, I specified 3 free benchmarks in my post: Call of Pripyat, LP2, and JC2. The OP has specified some free ones as well: Even at stock (i.e. free) settings, 3dMark11 should be fairly gpu-bound if y'all just compare GPU scores, and the AvP benchmark and Heaven are also free.

So there's 6 free ones listed so far between the OP and my suggestions. And honestly RC ... I think this whole process could become difficult to manage if there's more than 6 benchmarks total. Just MHO, speaking from experience

I can do my 6970s in x8/x8 to see if the difference between a dual GPU like the 6990 at 16x gets better FPS, or if mine at the slower(but even if I am thinking correctly) at the lower, but same split lanes.

Great idea!

One question. What about the ''modded'' RagingCain BIOS? If RagingCain didn't had a 590, 590 owners wouldn't have those, since Nvidia themselves don't care about the 590 BIOS at all.The modded BIOS exist only because of RagingCain alone.

Shoulds we separate the OOTB OC vs ''tweaked BIOS'' OC for the 590, since 6990 owners don't need/use/have modded BIOS?

Am I to understand that your admitting that the 590 in fact can be improved? And if Nvidia put that BIOS update out that it would level the playing field somehow or make it competitive?

Secondly, Doesn't the 6690 come with a 'EXtreme BIOS' switch?

I'm game.

Edit: When will the official benchmarking start. I have final exams on June 29 & 30. So, for that week, I'm dedicating my whole time for my exams. After that, I have two months of free time.
I am thinking we can spread it over an entire month, and I had my eyes set on July, as my finals are July 14th, then I start a English 18th Century History class, which I will pwn. SO I am fairly free most of July.

Its hard to coordinate a small army of GPU benchmarks into a condensed weekend. I prefer to tweak my system to run one benchmark at a time anyways. What do you guys think, July?

Does the demo have a bench?

My modded BIOS is a +12mV to GPU1 which was sadly lacking voltage out of the factory. I have addressed this concern in the 6990. For high overclocks we have to use the driver set 267.85, which requires no BIOS editing to OC.

Agreed, great advice, and I will definitely get around to modifying main to incorporate this.

I appreciate the Spreadsheet, but I started one already, and have a toooooooooooooon already done.
