Blue Screened

Quick question. I have a hyper 212 now. My system is stable at 1700FSB has been maximum stress tested on Intel Burn Test. HOwever when I went to 1800 fsb I blue screened like 3 minutes after start up, and it reset real quick. I know for sure that it's not getting too hot as the 1700 max burn test got to about 68c. Could this be because I need to increase voltage at this point?

I would increase the voltage just a notch if you have not messed with the Vcore setting already.

I have not at all. the e8400 max voltage according to intel is about 1.45. It's at 1.25. I'll try 1.35.

Okay. I upped vCore to 1.35. FSB to 1750. Burn tested at max and seems stable, no issues. Max temp was 62c at redic stress so I got plenty more room to work with. But I tried 1800 fsb and I blue screened right when starting test. Should I up more vcore?

More info:
Loadline calibration is on.
Ram is still 800mhz as if I change it at all the computer won't even post.

Also is there DOS stressers or testers? Sick of waiting hours for windows to start up and smooth out.

Yea Id crank it up just a bit more. Those chips can handle a decent amount of voltage. I would try another notch or two. Let us know how it goes.

edit: you dont have your ram overclocked do you? If so restore your ram to stock clocks/timings/voltages and try again. This way you can eliminate any ram overclock as being the problem. If your ram isnt overclocked try increasing the vcore a bit more. I would try to keep it within spec though. I wouldnt go over 1.4-1.45

Sure will. Any ideas about the memory? On my last XFX 780i all same componets before it broke, I would HAVE to run the FSB and memory linked in some ratio or it wouldn't even POST. This board if I run it linked or up ram in anyway it won't start POST. Any ideas?
