P67 Sabertooth & 1801 Bios, Thermal Radar differences

I've noticed that since updating to 1801 bios, Thermal Radar is now properly reporting the temperatures of the CPU

Before in a 24-25C room, my CPU was always idling at 35C, which seemed wrong to me

The reason I thought this was wrong was because every review I ever saw of the i7 2600K, reviewers were using the stock air cooler with it, overclocking it to 4.3-4.5Ghz with voltage increases, and still remaining in the 42-45C range, and idling in the same temperature as the mobo

But since updating today, the AI Suite II Thermal Radar program is now reporting it properly, like my old Phenom II which when the mobo was 25C, it was at 25C, and before this bios update with the room at 25C, the CPU was at 35-36C, which seemed wrong and off to me cause everything I read up about the i7 2600K was it was supposed to run far cooler then the nehelms, and only since this bios update its reporting properly

The bios has always reported the CPU temp wrong, in the bios it always reports 45-49C, and my watt meter on the wall only reports 140watts load, even less then it takes for it to run its bios check at boot

Everything I have read about Realtemp and AIDA64 from other people says they are getting a crapload of problems getting either to report correctly with most P67 boards, especially the P67 Sabertooth

I would just like to confirm with other people that since updating their bios to 1801 with the P67 Sabertooth, Thermal Radar is now reporting proper temps

To note, my CPU is being cooled with a Zalman 9900 Max at full RPM + a scythe kaze jyuni 120CFM airflow fan attached to the side of it for additional cooling, and was getting 35C idle? It just never made sense to me, just glad today (I Hope) that Asus fixed Thermal Radar to report the proper temperature

To those of you with P67 Sabertooth boards and installation with the 1801 Bios, what CPU temps are you guys getting?

Also, to those of you who have not updated the bios, uninstall AI Suite II before you install it, otherwise when you get back into Windows it will crash until its uninstalled and reinstalled

Slightly off topic but did you have any trouble installing the Ai Suite II ? I'm running XP Pro and can't get it to install even with the patch.

After installing 1801 bios, I had to uninstall AI Suite II which took forever from all the errors, but reinstallation was easy, I'm on Windows 7 Professional x64

Thanks. I did just update to 1801 and much to my delight the CPU temp is now correct (34c +/-) same as HW Monitor. CPU temp was always what seemed to be 10c higher than actual before. I'm unable to install AI Suite so I can't confirm thermal radar temps.

HWMonitor for me incorrectly reports CPU temp, it always reports it as 67C

EDIT: Have you tried running and installing the software package on the Asus website, basically its a pre-installer for AI SUITE II if your windows can't install it
