Full-ish system going up for sale

Thread Starter
Friend got a beast of a laptop and doesn't use his desktop as much anymore and is in desperate need for a car so he's selling his desktop.

I built this system for him back in early 2009 and has never once needed a repair. Other than OS change. It's been fully rock stable ever since. It's a bit...outdated hardware but it's still very capable of a system for gaming.

Just the system minus hard drive.
  • Antec Nine Hundred. The top fan came defective and has been out ever since. I couldn't ever get a hold of antec for a replacement
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000 3.1GHz Socket AM2 89W (never overclocked)
  • GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX. I checked a few months ago and this bios has the updates needed to throw in an AM3 CPU.
  • ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED
  • 1 x EVGA 512-P3-N971-TR GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (never been overclocked)
  • PC Power and Cooling S61EPS 610W Continuous @ 40°C EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply compatible with core i7
  • OCZ SLI-Ready Edition 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) OCZ2N800SR4GK
  • LG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model GH22LS30

Im having him take the system apart and take pictures of the inside after he gets it cleaned up.

I was thinking 400ish

Possibly $450 shipped. Would try to sell it on craigslist to squeeze a little more out of it or you can part it out on here for the best buck

$350-$400 shipped on here..and I don't know how fast it would sell at that price. A budget Phenom II build can be made for around that price. Your best bet is on Craigslist for more $$$.

$400ish is good. Try for that and drop it $50 if you start to get desperate!

to be honest you might as well hang onto it and get a AM3 chip, and then you can sell for like $550.
