Never said it wasn't a BD. It's an engineering sample that some cannot understand the fact that ES cpus are clocked lower for stability for vendor testing. People run with "It's a BD and it sucks because look how low the clocks are" junk. All the OP forgot was the word "for retail". Looks like you failed to understand what I was conveying. wink.gif

Not the best source but it covers what an ES CPU is for. It is NOT for retail, so that is why manufactures have final RETAIL products after they have gone through allot of testing.
It's not for retail but it's still a Bulldozer chip...............

Utterly pointless argument.
When we get to the point where we argue whether a Bulldozer ES is a Bulldozer, you know there is a problem.

What's the point of having a supposedly public forum, when innocuous posts get deleted every day?

The forum is being rewritten to suit the moderators agendas. Maybe that's the plan, but i'm getting to the point where i'm not going to bother with ocn anymore. It's pointless to keep on typing posts only too have them deleted by some zealot.

Not the best source but it covers what an ES CPU is for. It is NOT for retail, so that is why manufactures have final RETAIL products after they have gone through allot of testing.

Nah, you're the one who doesn't understand. Let me hold your hand here. The original poster said ES weren't BD. 2nd guy posts saying if it isn't BD architecture, what is it? You failed to understand his sarcasm and replied with a definition of an ES. I understand completely what you are conveying it for no reason, and to people who already know exactly what an ES is.
