[Youtube] Battlefield 3 on Jimmy Fallon PS3 Gameplay - Page 2

Looks pretty good on PS3 as well. I guess those E3 comments by Koitek about how he doubted BF3 console performance can now be laughed about.

Silly Koitek. BF3 is to good for you.

Because non-fanboys can think critically.

Over the course of every single development cycle I (or anyone else here interested in other games beside BF3) have followed, once footage started getting released and hype generated, the quality of the visuals, audio, AI, and general gameplay was fixed. The final stage of development after the marketing blitz is purely about bugfixing (and maybe a couple performance optimizations IF YOU'RE LUCKY).

You say polish comes last, but don't grasp what polish is. It's certainly not adding higher res textures, higher poly models, better map design, smarter AI, or awesome gameplay features. Polish is crushing bugs found by testers and possibly refining a couple mechanics here and there.

And apparently console players were expecting this to look as good as the PC version (LOL).

To the guy above me, just because it's pre alpha footage doesn't mean its going to magically change drastically in the next few months. That's never the case.
lol he was talking bout mw3

It will run at 30fps max, and will dip below on many occasions like bad company 2 did on consoles.

The aim wasn't to get it looking "nice" on consoles in any fashion, the aim was simply to get it PLAYABLE so BF3 atleast has a market for console players instead of giving them the middle finger. That's right, a PC game was ported to consoles.

I mean the damn console came out in 2006 lol, it's hardware limit was reached by games a long time ago. This is Frostbite 2 we're talking about.

It looks good and playable on consoles. But that doesn't matter, it still looks better than CoD MW3.
