4.01GHz overclock: screenshot attached!

Thread Starter
Bought a new Coolermaster GX 750 watt PSU. Popped her in and then overclocked my porn rig to 4011mhz. Prime95 temps are @ 37-40 degrees C with my CM 212 + push/pull.

Old: 6/18/11
HT link @ 1.38volts
CPU Voltage @ 1.600 volts ( CPU-Z says 1.584 volts)
NB at 1.555 volts ( I think)
DRAM @ 1.650 volts

New: 6/19/11
VCore: 1.6025 volts.
HT Link: 1.380 volts
NB: 1.40 volts
Chipset Voltage: 1.54 volts

Are my voltages too high? Also, I have a really cheap motherboard and I started hearing a faint clicking noise coming near my MOFSETs. I thought they were fans, but I read they could be the VRMs? (My mobo is 4 phased.)

Well if your hearing that clicking then i'd suggest rolling back on the voltage and speed as you very well may find yourself paying for a new motherboard.
1.572v the cpu must draw around 180watts.

Nice oc by the way.

I dropped it back down to 3.82ghz. Prime95'd for 7 hours with no errors, but I am having trouble getting it to post when I restart it.

another thing you should do is bring the nb voltage down some. if you don 't have the nb clocked very high you don't need the voltage. if you have the option to oc the nb frequency in your bios, that will give you a good amount of performance and you can reduce the overall clock speed ans voltages to save the mobo.

That board has boot issues overclocked.Way around it is-
either shut the power off(from psu) right after you save settings in bios, before it reboots itself.Press the power button several times with no power to the board to use up any power in the system-then start
or
shut it down completely(do not use restart) from Windows
or
shut it down-wait for about 10 mins then start
don't ask me why-I just know it works.

No the VRMs are fine, ASUS protects VRMs from blowing by throttling the CPU until the heat is gone. This throttling though may be a problem for the user involved. You definitely need to back it down or get a new mobo! You're also (regardless of CPU or mobo) above the air cooling maximum voltage that most OCN members recommend/specify for AMD K10 45nm CPUs

Hmmm, that's odd. I will definitely try that.

Thanks guys. I will drop the VDDNB and see if it will post.
