With the msrp of the h100 being $10 less than that of the xspc rasa rs750 kit,
The reviews better be pretty spectacular to sway me towards a sealed loop.

The performance is very good, but realistically they're kind of different markets.

The RS750 kit is great for somebody who doesn't mind the maintenance and likes the hobby-aspect of the DIY kit, the H100 is more for somebody who doesn't want the maintenance headache and never plans to expand their watercooling loop.

Both have places, and there's some overlap, but in our testing the performance is very similar.

Custom loops will still crap all over anything in the H series. So many people see the H100 as the replacement for custom WC and I don't know why. A simple Rasa kit for a few more bucks will "blow it out of the water" /badjokes.

There's no "hobby" aspect to it, just performance.

Who said anything about closed loops being a replacement for custom loops? The appeal of these closed loops is that custom loops don't come with a warranty that covers your precious components in case of a leak and they perform better than air coolers (or at least they should...). There's definitely a market for these products whether you like it or not.

Personally, I'd rather pocket the $10 and get the H100 over the Rasa kit because the drop in temps between the two are maybe 3-4 degrees C max and with the H100 I have peace of mind in case of a leak. And before you go spouting off about how only stupid people have leaks because they're not careful, blah blah blah, I'm a risk-averse person and an extra $10 isn't worth that little of a performance gain (to me, anyway).

You cannot make an informed decision about the performance of the H100 until it is released. The OEM of the H100 is Cool-It. Cool-It designed a similar 2x120mm rad and its performance was worse than a Coolermaster Hyper 212+.

We have to wait and see if it can deliver the goods.
