So i'm quite the noob when it comes to WHS. I've run it now for about 2 years solid and everything has gone smoothly. I have it running on a little htpc with 8tb worth of hard drives. I've got the OS by itself on just an older 160gb drive i had lying around. In any case my big question....how do you go about reformatting it without losing the data on the storage portion of the OS? Like, i know physically my information is on all the other hard drives, but when i copy movies/music/software over to it on the network, i throw them into the shared folders on the OS. Now i know when i first started using WHS, everytime i would throw a new hd into the pool, it would make me reformat it. I'm assuming this is what its going to want me to do when i reformat? I'm just starting to think it might be easier to just go with media center or windows server 2008 so i have control over my hard drives better, but i guess thats up to debate. In any case, sorry about the rambling. Hope someone can enlighten me on this dilemma. Thanks
