I use this: http://www.ratpadz.com/ Works very well. Was recommended to me by my roommate who has been using the same one for over 5 years now.

IMO you should sell the G9x. I say this because you really don't want to have to get used to the G9x's acceleration which CAN'T be turned off.

First off aiming/making precision movements is more inconsistent with acceleration. Secondly, if you want to switch mice later it'll make the transition more difficult if the mouse you're switching to does not have acceleration.

If I were you I'd buy a CM Storm Spawn. Apparently a very good mouse with a nice sensor and it has a similar shape to the G9x, too.

It's funny I'm reading this thread and last post I see is yours because that's exactly what I'm probably doing. However I think I'll wait to sell my g9x until I get the Spawn mouse in my hands for testing. Unfortunately that won't be till mid-July based on when Provantage receives the next shipment.

I've never had a problem with the G9x. I don't really notice the acceleration. I'll definitely take a look at the Storm Spawn when it comes out though.

I like the Xtrac pads, don't like my mousepads to be too flat. Currently I use a razer Kabuto I picked up from best buy for 3 bucks lol. Had to cut my old steel series mousepad and put it under it to add a bit of girth to the mat.
