omg mouse acceleration is the bane of my existence! It's "manageable" on my PC but on my mac ....eugh.

I just don't understand why, on all systems, there aren't ways to completely turn off ALL acceleration.

This sentence is true. Majority of top Quake players do use mouse accel. I agree that mouse should never have prebuilt acceleration that you can't turn off or adjust to your preferences.

Yup. I play on med/low sensitivity so it's ridiculously noticeable.

Kova [+] on the way, though. Should be here tomorrow. If I end up not liking it then I'll sell it and probably buy a CM storm spawn.

Share your thoughts about Kova+ when you try it out. smile.gif

I second that notion about Kova+ smile.gif

Regarding acceleration, that's exactly why I prefer optical mice. Maybe it's just me but it seems laser is more likely to have acceleration issues (or they're just more unreliable when it comes to different mouse pads, e.g. acceleration/tracking problems on a lot of cloth pads).

I feel laser technology in computer mice hasn't matured enough yet IMO.

I wonder why companies choose to use this flawed sensor. I cannot stand acceleration so I'm basically limited to Razer Deathadder if I want a mouse with reasonably high DPI, no prediction and no acceleration. Annoying.

it is slowly but surely becoming a valued feature for certain top gamers whom can utilize its benefits to the fullest.

WHOM CAN USE? Really Steelseries you can't hire someone who has a grade school grasp of English grammar?
