Need Help, Looking for Best ISP for me

ok....

Currently i have Verzion DSL with 3mb/s that is costing me $38.99/mo

Within the next 2 months, Verzion will increase my monthly amount from $38.99 to $40.99

I want to cancel it because is getting too expenive for 3mb/s service, and i want faster speed

Fios 10MB/s+ or 7mb/s DSL isn't available in my area (3 blocks away they do have fios lolz)

I'm leaning toward TWC with their 15mb/s plan for $39.95 plan, but when i heard about TWC may put data cap again. I got second thought.

What is the best alternative ISP? I need something that is very reliable (Verzion never let me down, i rarely get connection lost unless due to super freak weather), for 10yrs i been with them, i only get disconnected for more then 30min like 4 times)

I lived in Queens in NY. So if anyone who lived in my area can suggest me a good ISP it'll be nice

Focus Point: Price vs Speed ratio, and reliability (don't get disconnected) is what i'm looking for

(May have post this on the wrong section XD)

Sounds like you can only go with TWC. I would stay as unlimited data is more important to me, but if you do switch then you would be getting way higher speeds but may have to deal with a cap later.

I personally left at&t 1.5/256 when they put in a 150 gig cap for charter with 18/2 and 250 gigs. I use a lot of data so this made more sense but given your usage habits you would have to decide. I personally would stay with Verizon though as I've heard a lot of bad things with TWC.

Optimum online perhaps? I think that is what it is called.

Optimum don't service in my area

RCN provide service here, 15mb/s for $34.95,

$44.95 one time fee, and $34.95 for the service which bring me out to $80 for the first month statement

Price increase after 12 months to $39.95 then $44.95 the following years...

i don't know how reliable is RCN tho

Howdy!

Well, partner, I'd recommend that you move those three blocks and get that there FioS service, but I know that's not really a legitimate option.

I doubt you'll even notice the difference. You're putting to much effort into this.

i'd take RCN to be honest. given they're smaller they're likely going to be more sympathetic and have better CS.
