Looking for an entry level camera

Don't have a clue when it comes to cameras. I do, however, want something with an LCD screen, video (720 min) and 14mp

I was possibly thinking of a nikon d3100. Can pick one up from a local Walmart but I thought it would be best to hear it from people who actually know cameras

Suggestions?

Im not a huge Rebel fan, but canon is making some amazing entry level stuff lately. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-507-_-Product here is one of the new ones. I spend alot of the photo time on http://photography-on-the.net/forum/ GREAT GREAT forum. Nothing from OCN, but were good for computer stuff and there good for camera stuff
