I bought mine yesterday from superbiiz for $165 with shipping thanks to a -$5 off promo code I found. I didn't find the price too bad and I should have it in by Thursday.

There is a review about the board just posted yesterday on techpowerup: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/M5A99X_EVO/

A couple pages into it there is some info about overclocking with the board.

EDIT: It was just posted on newegg too:

The Phenom II x6, the most robust AMD IMC (integrated memory controller), can handle DDR3-1600 full slots. The FX Series will be even more robust with the IMC; it can support DDR3-1866, I'm assuming this is for all 4 slots thumb.gif

I'd like to remind you though that if you have questions like these that are not relevant to another thread, you should create a new thread for them, and in the proper section (i.e. AMD memory). This is actually better for immediate attention, if that is what you're looking for.

Hi,
I wonder if some one can help me with this.

I Just built my new system with a m5a99x EVO and Vengeance— 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8).
it runs fine, however I can't POST if I manualy set my memory to 1600MHz in the BIOS. It will only boots at 1333Mhz.
I put the voltage to 1.5V as they say in the board's manual and timming to 9-9-9-24. also tried voltage up to 1.65v

what should I do to make it work at 1600Mhz ?
I also have a Phenom II 965be

Thanks!

i love my 99x.... got it put in yesterday, and is solid. Had an issue with some RAM, but turned out one of the sticks went bad when i swapped over to the new board. Oh well.
