Asus M5A99x EVO owner theard. - Page 7

Hmm. That's the same as me. Everything works on mine, just bad luck I guess. And you haven't been able to change it in by right clicking the Desktop, choosing Personalize and then changing the power settings from the screen saver settings dialog box?

Mine rarely sleeps anyway because I have it on a power strip and I shut off the power strip after I shut down Windows so the computer and peripherals won't suck power when I don't need them.
Yes I changed the power setting's. But to no avail. I can get it go into sleep mode, but only partial sleep mode. Not entirely though. I believe that's what's causing the problem - its not going into true sleep mode. Something is causing it to keep from it. I just don't know what.
I wish I could just get rid of the sleep mode option. Then I wouldn't worry about it. Because when I give this computer to my daughter, I know it will only be a matter of time before she uses the sleep option; and then its going to freeze up on her. When it happens, I may not be around to help her, so I'd rather fix the problem now while I have a chance - before I turn it over to her. Do you know how I can remove the sleep option from the 'power off' screen?
Oh, I didn't hear you say it locks up. Can you shut if off in the BIOS? I think you can also shut it off in the screen saver dialog box by choosing change power settings and then in the next dialog change when the computer sleeps to "never."
I shut it off but it doesn't matter. It still tries to go into sleep mode when you push the sleep option. I wish I could remove that button all together.

I have a great solution. Get a plain keyboard without a sleep button. You must have one laying around someplace.

Figured I would post on here i just picked up a evo for my 955BE c2. Have not had much time to play with it yet but im up to 3.7 on 1.4v i might squeeze 3.8-9 without too much more volts.

My CPU 1055t and Board Asus M5A99X EVO are extremely needy. @ 4Ghz it wouldn't be stable with no less than 1.55. I am quite surprised as with a lower end Gigabyte I used to get it stable at less, around 1.48.

Hey everyone,

I'm desperate: do I see that right that Asus seriously requires you to enter BIOS setup by pressing F1 BEFORE a CMOS clear will actually become effective?!
Problem is, I did a CMOS-clear (tried jumper as well as battery in/out) because my keyboard wasn't recognized anymore after I disabled some OHCI/EHCI settings in BIOS. So now I got totally locked out from my system with POST messages: "Please enter setup to recover BIOS settings. NO Keyboard detected. Press F1 to run SETUP"

Is that a bad joke, or what...how on earth am I supposed to press F1 if the keyboard is not detected ?!

- keyboard (USB) worked without problems before the BIOS change and works fine on my notebook
- tried all USB ports
- don't have a PS2 keyboard, nor does anyone living nearby

Any ideas? I appreciate any sort of help!

What a result, how did you achieve that?? I'm still on stock volts at the moment @ 3.5Ghz, Waiting on a better cooler, Asus temp montor says my 1055t hits 60oc under prime, but core temp says overall temp is 40oc and I trust the higher reading for safety reasons. (this is after an hour or so)..
