Micro ATX boards Vs. ATX boards.

Thread Starter
About 4 months ago i built my first computer, i was still fairly new to the terminology and i didnt really think much in depth when i picked out the parts (you can see below what i have as this is still my rig). i ended up buying a micro ATX board which is the Rampage III Gene, not really thinking in depth about the ups and downs of having a smaller board, now keep in mind i like the board and its serving me well but i just wanted to ask you guys (or gals) out there to help put my mind at ease because all im thinking about now is "ugh why didnt i get a ATX board?" so my question is fairly simple, did i make a mistake buying the small board? is there really that much of a downside to having a micro ATX (other then the room and slots obviously) but i mean it still has enough slots for everything i need, but performance wise was it a mistake? sorry if im sounding redundant here im just curious. thanks in advance.

heres a link to my board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e%20III%20gebe

Performance wise. No.

You already stated the obvious downside to mATX boards.
