Computer not starting up. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

Thread Starter
So today I longly waited for my new NZXT sleeved wiring extensions to come it. I unpackaged them and unhooked everything from my board (Of course unplugging it). The 8pin CPU power extension went in fine and had no issues being installed. Now for the 24pin.

After longly trying to get the 24pin extender to fit, I finally said screw it and chose to not use the extenders right away. So I unplugged the two extenders I bought and plugged everything back into my motherboard.

My graphics card fans instantly shot up to 100%, the lights on my motherboard (Power phase, SB phase, MEM Phase) all flash about every second and I get an error code FF from my troubleshooting "screen" with no bios post.

If anybody has any clue on what to do please help! PLEASE. I have no clue what is going on and I have already unplugged it and reset the CMOS.

You are likely grounded. Unplug your power supply from everything and reconnect. Then try again. If that fails, reassemble your computer. If that fails try a different power supply. If that fails try a different video card. If that fails start buying new components starting with the cheapest ones first. Probably buy a new motherboard first.

if I may take a long shot of a guess I would say that you have a short somewhere in one of your cables or something is wrong with your power supply. Also in your post you stated that an error code came up on your motherboard's display that too little LED displays on the motherboard. In your instruction manual that came with your motherboard what does the error code in the book tell you about what is wrong with your motherboard. Also if you have access to a power supply tester I would suggest testing the current power supply that you are using but my guess is that either the power supply or something has gone to ground or one of the wiring is bad that's coming out of the power supply into the motherboard.
