C300 - Freezing Problems - Registry Hack Fix? - Out of Options

I am not entirely sure it is related to my C300 but everything else I don't see being the problem.

Every now and then my computer will hang or freeze for roughly 30 seconds to a minute. During which I am able to move my mouse but all other programs become unresponsive to clicks and C+A+D becomes unusable as well.

If the freeze happens during a game sound will generally loop and video will black until the freeze is over then it all catches up.

Here is what I have done to try and diagnose this problem:

CPU - 4.6GHZ - Still playing with voltages. Up to 1.36V since 1.35 BSOD

Memory - Ran 24hrs Memtest

GPU - Video remains responsive during freezing and games FPS is great. Ran Furmark ETC

Motherboard - Not sure if I can diagnose this. Had the problem on two as far as I remember B3 and old revision

Here is my possible answer?

First, update the firmware. If didn't help - use the fix in the thread that you linked. I believe it helped a lot of people.

If this doesn't solve your problem, then I don't know exactly what's causing it. But I would personally check all my settings both in BIOS and Windows and, as the last resort measure, Secure Erase the drive and reinstall Windows (resetting CMOS would be nice as well imo).

Try changing the SATA cable. You might have one that comes loose intermittently or subjected to EM interference.
