I need to make a good impression

Hey all,

I just got a new job working at a small company that is looking to get tablets for people in the factory (metal factory and sales people). They're looking at getting iPads for all of the employees so they can handle their work on the flu rather than at a workstation.

They haven't put me in charge of a project or anything, but I would really like to make a good impression. They mentioned only getting iPads because they had some type of app for the factory workers. I'm looking for some advice.

I was thinking of going to bestbuy to see if they would allow me to borrow 5 or 10 of their tablets to bring to the place if I persuaded them telling them we are looking at buying 40 of them.

I guess my question is which tablet would suit business needs the best? I know I haven't provided a clear application for this particular situation, but does anyone have any suggestions? I was looking at iPad, transformer, etc. Pros and cons would be so helpful guys. I would really appreciate it. Im looking at making a PowerPoint with all the top tablets and maybe I could post it here.

Thanks in advance!

It depends on what they are using the tablet for I think. I have used the iPad1 and 2. Not super impressed with either, they seem about the same to me. I would go with a more inexpensive android tablet for a factory environment. Something smallish as well. Also, all tablets should have a full size USB and HDMI port in my opinion. Most don't now however.

I think a true tablet PC would allow for more productivity.
