Netgear WNDR3700/4000 or Cisco E4200?

My old router(D-Link DGL-4500) just died, no more warranty so time for a new router!

I have pretty much narrowed down my choices to Netgear WNDR3700, WNDR4000, and Cisco E4200. (BTW how do you tell if the WNDR3700 is v1 or v2? Which one is better?)

The DGL-4500 was nice but the signal strength is not really strong enough, so I'm hoping the new router can improve the signal strength a bit.

The router will be placed on first floor of the house and there are 4 computers on the second floor that needs wireless connections.

Basically I'm looking for:
1. Reliability
2. Signal strength
3. Mid/long range speed

I read a few reviews and while these three are the top routers for sure, it's unclear which one is more superior

And comments or recommendations from you guys?

(I never used DD-WRT or Tomato before since I don't usually need the additional functions and most of my past routers doesn't support them)
