Acer GD235hz issue

My monitor works perfectly fine when I miraculously get a signal after a bump for everytime I startup my computer. For my Acer GD235HZ to get a signal for display upon startup, I must turn off my tower, followed by the monitor and precisely turn on the monitor and tower on in a timed manner. This is pretty frustrating, as if I don't get it, it's a gamble if I can get picture on my monitor and enjoy some of my games. I don't know what could really be causing this, anybody else have any issue like this with this specific monitor and/or another monitor? It's starting to get more 'unstable' as sometimes it just doesn't want to work at all, even if I think i'm getting the timing right with this blasted monitor. I've had it for probably 8 or 9 months now, it's been doing it for awhile, it just hasn't bothered me that much, as I dob;t turn off my computer often.

I guess some specs to toss out:
ATI Radeon XFX 5770
Acer GD235hz w/ DVI connecting to the 5770
i5 2500k
Asus mATX H67[Forgot the model from the top of my head, but posting late at night here, hoping to get some answers or ideas.] (Got the wrong mobo earlier in the year like an idiot, wanted to OC the i5. I know i'm going to get a comment about that specific combo...)

Doesn't the board have onboard graphics too? Try it and see if it happens.

(If you happen to stop by and see this post, or anybody else...)
Yes, the onboard works perfectly fine. Obviously fingers point towards my gfx card.

I just purchased the same monitor and do not experience the same issue.
