This was my short experience with fiberglass
http://forum.caraudiovideo.com/caraudiovideo/Vos-installations/project-cordoba-sujet_27130_1.htm

Nothing all that complicated
The worst part is the sanding, the dusty, itchy, scratchy sanding.

This is really the only pictures I've been able to find showing someone using bondo in an attempt to modify a bezel. I would really love it if someone knew of a more step by step for a computer LCD, or even better fabricating one from scratch. I suppose I could cut a wood frame to spec for the current metal bezels and that covering it with a thick cloth should allow the new bezel to basically sit flush against the metal.

Either way, something I doubt I will get to until the weekend after this.

How about using acrylic? I'm sure you can get some nice acrylic and fabricate some small bezels. I have mine in portrait and the angled top and bottom edges help but not as much as I would like. I wouldn't go this far though, my better half would have a fit and come after me tongue.gif

edit: it would be nice if the bezels were as thin as the Samsung D8000 (or does someone make a monitor like this confused.gif)

Mine doesn't have a ring, so I'm still golden rolleyes.gif As long as she doesn't see this anyways lol.

As far as acrylic, wouldn't that end up being more difficult to frame? What I mean is, wouldn't the corners and such look far more polished with bondo as I would have to cut the acrylic from sheets to match up?

Colored acrylic or just painting it. some thin 3/32 or 1/8 should be thin enough to mask and frame again the monitor. I have some scrap black acrylic, I'll check it out to see what can be done. Btw, I'm at work and pics don't load on ocn. I'll get a better look once I get home smile.gif

When I gave the links to my fiberglass work, I was really hoping you'd be interested in building a monolithic mount for all three monitors. rolleyessmileyanim.gif
