Ah my bad redface.gif I already purchased the stand they all sit on though lol. In reality, I just want to fabricate three bezels, or one long bezel for all three monitors!

I bought it from MountedConcepts! It definitely wasn't cheap, but there is a $10 off code "wsgf10."

That's exactly what I had in mind. I pictured it as a shell wrapping around the back, but don't take notice, I'm a little mad kookoo.gifbiggrin.gif

You really should have used spudge tools to open the bezels. I hate to see that you have completely obliterated resale value with nicks and scratches.

Resale? What is that? smile.gif

Honestly though, I knew I was going to ruin the warranty on these before I started. And like most of my old hardware, I won't sell it. Rather when I am done with it, it will just pass down the line to some other relative. Large family means someone always wants my old castoffs.

But to directly address your comment: I haven't. There is the occasional stress mark (view-able as discoloration of the plastic from tension), but other than that no problems. I completely reassembled one just to ensure I wouldn't face that problem for when I do separate these three screens.

You have to train them! I've 5 brothers, and we all liked console games growing up of course. Many a happy afternoon playing Goldeneye on the 64. As things got better on the PC end, I introduced them one by one. Now each has a custom built rig (no knockouts though).

BTW Thanks! Glad you like it.

So I will most likely being doing this and I am wondering a few things,

Were any of the "clips" broken while taking it apart?

Is there anything you would have done different? (I will be using the spudge tools as I sell every single electronic I have ever owned when I get a replacement for it)

How do you like the stand is there any sag and d0 the monitors stay aligned, I can get this stand for the same price as the xfx tri-stand what would you recommend?

Do you think other Asus monitors may have a slimmer metal bezel underneath or just smaller plastic such as in the Asus vs238h?

I currently just sold 3 extremely slim led monitors as they have did not have a wall mount and bought 1 VH236H(still can return) and am thinking about picking up another 2 and removing the bezel.

As well if you have not covered the metal frames as of yet, why not get a matte black vinyl tape that is not to sticky so it is easy to remove. (Same stuff consoles skins are made of, minus the glue)

tried with screwdrivers and made a mark so I just pulled it apart with my fingers evenly so much easier.

I must say, great job my friend. I was inspired by your effort, and I just so happen to have some (three to be exact) Asus VH222H-P 21.5" 1080p monitors. Your monitors are identical to mine under the bezels so I figured why not.... Sure enough, it worked and I shaved off roughly half an inch per side per monitor. So I am at the point where I am pondering a custom slimline bezel. My approach should be easier as I bought one of the more cost effective** triple monitor stands that doesn't really allow for angling of the end screens. Also my stand has a little trouble not sagging on the left and right screens. What I might do is build a slim wooden frame to go around the exact outer dimensions of the monitors in order to both support and straighten the monitors. The idea of splicing into the wires for the control panels is a solid one, and I may just try that... lengthening the wiring from both sides into the middle control panel/PCB.

A few years late to the game here but... have you thought of just covering the silver with black electrical tape? Simple quick and effective.

Thanks for the detailed post on this subject. Can';t wait to de-bezel my setup
