Ok for external Hard drives?

Thread Starter
Hi,

which of these hard drives would be better for external use? (will buy external enclosure separately)

SV35 Seriesâ„¢ SATA 1TB Hard Drive (specs)
Barracuda 7200.12 SATA 6Gb/s 1TB Hard Drive (specs)

They will be used for storage, like movies, steam backups, application setups etc.

They are about the same price and are both 1tb, just need to know which is fastest and if they are good if enough?

Please answer fast! I need to order 4 before tonight!

Hi

If i was buying for external enclosures, I'd get "Western Digital Caviar Green Power" or something else that is low power/heat!

I second that, and specs won't really matter if you're going with a USB enclosure, just get the cheapest. If you want reliability don't go with a barracuda.

Have you looked at Samsung F3's?

You can also pick up 2TB Samsung F4EG for pretty cheap, you'd have twice the capacity.
