I restored my system back to the time before i done this and now im prompted with the update again. Should i just ignore it? I know other people are having similar issues.
Hi, i don't have exactly the same problem but maybe it will help you:
I can instal catalyst, but when i reboot, i got BSOD.
OS: Windows 7 X64 ULTIMATE
CPU: Phenom II X4 955
GC: PowerColour HD6850
RAM: 4GB DDR2 RAM (i Had 5GB, and i removed 1GB to fix my prob)
SC: Soundblaster Audigy 2
What Happened? :
New Windows 7 X64 Ultimate Installation. i can instal catalyst, but when i reboot, i got a BLUSCREEN.
How i Resolved it? :
I Disconnect all USB devices. i disconnect my mouse just after clic on the installation launch, as i read on a forum (don't remember where).
I Desactivate my Creative Driver, as i read on a forum (on amd forum).
I Remove some RAM, to have ONLY 4GB on my system, as i read on a forum (on amd forums i think too).
No more bluescreens, or Freezing.
I try something after that: Get my removed RAM BACK. the result was the BLUESCREEN.
So, the problem was caused by the RAM, but i don't know why...
Now everything is OK.
