Driver crashes in youtube

Thread Starter
When I watch a video in youtube my screen turns black for few seconds then it restores and says that my video driver had stopped responding. This only happens when I OC my card.

I tested the stablility with 20 mins of OCCT gpu tester and then played the witcher 2 for about 2 hours. I saw no artifacts while gaming but the driver does crash in youtube how is that possible ?

Try updating to 11.4 and try watching videos again. If the problem persists, exit Afterbruner and try again.

Right click the youtube video, go to settings, disable hardware acceleration.

Update to the latest version of Flash and graphics drivers. Flash has always been buggy but now it has GPU acceleration which can cause more problems.

AMD or Nvidia. Firefox or Chrome. Flash still crashes them all.

That worked . When I want to keep my overclock is there a way to make the clocks go down when in idle ? Because now they're at max all the time.

Yep that happened to me with my 5850. Even overclocked by 1MHz flash would crash the driver. Glad i could help.

Do you really have to change back to stock clocks so the card can go throttle itself when idle ?
