Transformer, cause it's $100 less having same hardware.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 is considered to feel slightly better build and it's a bit thinner, but i don't think it's worth extra money.

If you want a tablet that is slightly thinner than the iPad get the Samsung, but the Transformer already has a lot of developer support for ROMs.

Both are getting outstanding feedback but the Eee Pad's build quality is what pushes me towards the Galaxy. Asus's tablet feels toyish and featured small plastic "creaks" and other details that made me cringe, even if just slightly.

Depends on what you want form or functionality. For $500 dollars you get the ultra slim and ultra light Tab 10.1. For $550 you get the Asus Transformer that isn't as thin and light but it makes up for it with the keyboard dock.

Honestly I dont think I would ever use the dock, if I need a KB I would just flip my lappy on.

I just demoed the 10.1 at BB by my house only complaint I had was that the Full Screen HD Youtube video playback was a bit jittery? Is this somthing that will be fixed in the future?

Yes most likely a flash update. I loved the 10.1 at BB, I didn't see any jitteriness in my video that I watched.

They both run the same OS, and 1080P video playback is an issue in certain formats.

Realistically the $100 premium is purely cosmetic and the Transformer actually has more features. It has a mini-HDMI port, and a micro SD card slot ( a huge advantage, allowing users to easily double their storage for cheap). The camera for the Transformer is 5mp while the Galaxy only has a 3mp, but Samsung has the slightly better front camera so it evens out.

This review claims the Samsung has HDMI, but it in fact does not.

Transformer seems to be the way to go (I got one ).
