I don't get this analogy at all
Of course the more expensive hooker is better! You don't need to get it.

Also I've narrowed my choice down to the A50's or the PRO550's.

All of the reviews say the A50's are better yet I'm hearing otherwise in this thread.

So... Confused...

Do you have a Guitar Center near you? Their website carries these headphones so maybe they've got 'em in the store too, hopefully in a "try me" booth or something. I dunno cause I've never been in one.

Also yeah, there's not much love for Ultrasones around the internet. Probably cause RallyMaster owns a pair.

Can somebody tell me what amp I should buy for the PRO550's? Is that all I need, an amp?

(Excluding the sound card ATM.)

I don't use mine with an amp.

Well I guess that sweetens the deal a bit. I don't consider myself an audiophile in the least bit so the fact that it may sound better with an amp doesn't particularly bother me.

P.S. I just plugged in my old Plantronics and it sounds like hell compared to my Razer that recently broke.

If the Razer sounded that much better and is still a cheap headset... I can't wait to see what the PRO550's are capable of... even If I do have on-board sound for the time being.

Multiple Sennheiser headphone would like to disagree with your "sennhieser is da best" claim.

sure beats the crap out of jvc, i know that because when i was young there was this old guy who showed me his sets and then i went to school, and after school i went to the mall and ate some "iced cream" any how before i let the iced cream melt upon my arm i went to the local cd dispensary and found my self perusing the isles for a one of a kind audio gem that would thwart the efforts of all my bad thoughts, alas however i was unsuccessful so i had no choice but to return home and aggressively torture my anus with a claw hammer beating it in time after time again, it was only after i woke up from this ordeal that the nurse told me to get sennhieser headphones, they saved my life i dont see jvc ones doing that.

Don't ask me how I know, but I think we might have a troll on our hands here.
