Thread Starter
Hello Guys,,

I want to buy a new gaming headset and my budget is 80$.
And i want a headset with built in microphone so i've searched and got this list
  • Plantronics Gamecom 777 57$
  • Razer carcharias 63$
  • Plantronics Audio 995 59$
  • Creative Tactic3D Sigma 52$
  • Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS non 7.1 version 49$
  • Steel series 5h v2 72$
  • SteelSeries Siberia V2 Red 60$

I want to know which one is the best for Fps Gaming and little bit of music the most important thing is the wire cause every headset i get the wire is damaged and i can only hear sound in one side !!

i liked the steel series siberia but i want to know what is the difference between the usb and non-usb version

Thanks,,

I am no headset expert, but I use the gamecom 377 and it works great, nice and cheap too! So the 777 would be my choice.

Whatever you do I strongly suggest you do not get the Razer. It is comfortable though...
The reason I say don't get it is because after about 2 years the right speaker started to dim unless I wiggled the volume control. Shortly after the left speaker would completely turn off and I'd have to push the cable into the cup despite it being very well secured. I took it apart but there was no visible damage. Probably a broken wire under the insulation/cloth of the cord.

It did last a long time though... But the speaker issues aren't the only reason I say don't get it. I have to use +20dB at a minimum to get a good volume from the microphone. I can't comment on the speakers as I've never used anything professional grade.

you wont have that problem if you invest in some real headphones, not a headset. they will last and sound infinitely better.

I've got the gamecom 777, I actually don't use the 7.1 usb part, as it sort of muffles the sound and lessens the bass. Good headset, but for me was a waste over the cheaper version like the 367 or 377. Microphone is good, and the sound quality is very good too, however bass is poor.

Pick [ame="http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HARX700-High-Grade-Full-Size-Headphone/dp/B0013OWPV4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308455030&sr=8-1"]these[/ame] headphones up with [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microphone-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b"]this[/ame] mic. You'll be much better off picking up that pair of headphones than any of those head sets. Then use what's left of your budget, which it still won't be all of it ($42 for the RX700 and Zalman mic combo), and get an Asus Xonar DG sound card. That setup will dominate any of those gaming headphones.

Here is an Asus Xonar DG, use the code RAPTURE15 and you should get 15% off. I'm not sure if that promo code expired, I know the MIR that was on that card expired a few weeks ago but I believe the promo code still works.

Thanks for the helpful reply but i saw this and everyone recomended it but i don't like to much wire laying on the table it's best deal but not for me imo.
