So I got rid of my Xperia Play & picked up a Thunderbold (Verizon)

I was plague'd with a nightmare (a phone called the Xperia Play). The phone was absolutely crap & I couldnt take it anymore. After 5 Replacements Verizon offered me a way out of the phone & into a new device. The problems with the Xperia Play were just overall the Call Quality was VERY POOR. You could hear Static with any call you made, The actualy signal was not good 1 -2 bars max (even after the 5th phone horrible Signal)

The other problem was the screen it was just not bright enough & the auto brightness feature was bad. Made the screen way to dim to stand.

Anyways I looked around Verizon for the longest time & I chose the Thunderbolt & so far its been perfect. I disabled 4G since I dont have 4G anyways till november(ish). I love every aspect of the phone but did I make the right choice for a 4G phone? There were other options available but I mainly looked at the Camera/Video Quality since I take alot of pics & Video, The size of the Installed Memory.

Whats been getting to me is the Massive amounts of bad reviews/feedback on the phone which is mainly all software related due to be fixed in the near future, Reboots, 4G Drops & Yada Yada.

Just wondering what you users who have the thunderbolt feel about the phone. I am not plague'd at the moment with any of the software related issues right now but I love it. Was there a better 4G choice on Verizon?

P.S. I absolutely LOVE the kickstand

I think the only thing that would bother you in the T-Bolt is its rather horrid battery life. But that's easily fixed by getting an extra battery or get an extended battery pack. Everything else I've seen in the Thunderbolt is great; the 4G capability, brilliant screen, screaming-fast performance - and that's only a single-core!

I gotta stop reading reviews its making me go crazy with all the plague's software issues tons of people are having

Meh, most of the issues anyways can be resolved by rooting. There are tons of ROMs available for the device already - just pick your poison.

I bought my Droid X & Droid X2 from a friend of mine who did not like Android & wanted to go back to Iphone so he sold both phones to me for 350. I gave my wife the Droid X cause she didnt even have a phone at all.

I was due for an upgrade from verizon so I chose the Xperia Play but had a couple of issues with the phone & it just really was not worth the 200.00 upgrade price. I ended up calling tech support alot on the play. I wasnt jus trying to get out of the phone by lying verizon at the store was easily able to reproduce the problems I was having.

The tech support on the phone even told me they could hear alot of static while talking so after 5 returns they told me they wanted me into a diff phone. So this is how I ended up with the Thunderbolt.

Right now my wife owns the X since I gave it to her. The Play went back to Verizon & I have the Droid X & Thunderbolt. Total price paid for the x3 phones was only 600.00

X: 150
X2: 200
Thunderbolt: 250 (From Verizon)

I am thinking about selling my X2 to my brother. He has an iphone 32gb but really isnt happy with it because the screen is way to small & he loves the widgets on android. He doing have alot of money so I will prolly work out a small weekly payment deal or something.
