It's really what anyone's willing to pay for it, but, the general consensus seems to be around $100 I think.

As for BF3, no one can answer this, period. The only thing we have to go by is that the developers said expect something near the performance you currently get in BC2, or, it's comparable to it.
Actually the rigs at E3 with bf3 demos were ran on a single gtx580 with max settings (and 4x aa).

Okay, so I've had my 4890 for a little over a year now, and i found it more then acceptable (ran everything I played max +aa), but a year is a long time to not upgrade, and I've had to satisfy my itch by window shopping on craigslist. Well, a few days ago I found a GTX 480 for $175, and thinking it was too good to pass up, jumped on it without thinking.

...

Did I jump the gun?
Well if it turns out to be too much GPU for you, you could always sell it for a profit. Seriously you could probably make 60-80 bucks on top of what you paid for it by reselling it.

$175 for that card is insanely low. If it's still got a warranty you got one hell of a deal.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. BF3 was supposedly demoed on a single 580 and you just got ~90% of a 580 for under 200 dollars.

Enjoy.
