Mobile GPU Question

Thread Starter
I am looking at a couple different laptops and basically the only differences are screen size and gpu. Can someone tell me what these mobile gpu's would equate to in desktop please. 6850m,5650m,gtx460m. Also all three laptops are all the same quad core and all have 8gb ddr3 1866.

What you would look for is it integrated or dedicated GPU.

Yes i know, that is pretty basic. I just want to know what level of performance these mobile GPUs equate to. That way i can then fully weigh the price/performance of each laptop im looking to buy.

6850M>460M>5650M
but the 6850 is a only little better because it is a generation newer than the 460M
it'll perform better in CFX than 460M in SLI

6850m - Very Underclocked HD5770 [575-675Mhz depending on who laptop, Same as 6870m or Mobility HD5870 save the clocks]
5650m - A HD 5570 with a 128bit memory bus
gtx460m - GTS 450 underclocked

Awesome +rep the exact type of answer i wanted. Well since the 6850 is only a litter better than the 460m now it is between the 460m and 5650m. The 6850m was another $300 for that laptop and sacrifice 3 hours battery life compared to the 5650m. Now does the 460m perform close to a GTX460? Also can a what desktop card is about the same performance as a 5650m?

+rep to you too, the laptops im looking at are the HP ENVY Beats Edition 14"(5650m), HP ENVY 17"(6850m) (Non-3d) and a Toshiba Qosimo (GTX460m).

This is incorrect, the 460m is noticeably better.
