Worth waiting for 570gtx classified?

Thread Starter
After 2x 570gtx reference cards died on me I finally received an RMA that doesn't have the bad batch VRM's, this thing benched at 1.15v without any problems.

I would like to sli and was going to wait for the EVGA 570GTX Classified. WHat's the best 570gtx on the market atm in terms of power delivery and overclocking? Price is not an issue. I have my gripes with the Asus DCII because it sags due to weight, and if I get a terrible overclocker I end up with a contradiction, a cool looking beefed up card with bad OC lol.

Noise is not a big concern

Go for the MSI 570 Twin Frozr III One of the best if you don't want the DCII.

Is the primary purpose of this card for benching? If so, grandestfail pretty much gave the best recommendations for GTX 570's.

If money is no concern though, perhaps look at GTX 580's as well, as they tend to have stronger power circuitry and have a reputation for better overclocks. Nowadays, after discounts, coupons, and rebates, a number of 1.5GB GTX 580's (even EVGA's) can be found in the low $400-$450 price range.

With the way the rumors are going around about the GTX 570 Classified, it really does seem like this card is going to be built almost like a stock GTX 580. Chances are, the pricing is going to be pretty close as well. However, you will still have the same shortcomings as a normal 570 (ie. less VRAM, less ROPs, and less stream processors, etc.). Personally, unless you have an affinity for the 570 GPU in particular, I don't think it is worth waiting around as there are already good options that already exist in varying price brackets and can be readily purchased now.
