Use method 2. First create a temporary account when you install windows. Then make the registry changes listed in method 2, and then after you do that, make the permanent account, log into it, and delete the temporary account.
It doesn't say it in the guide, but you should also switch the public library to the HDD as well. Leave default and Program Data on the SSD.
Also a good idea to put your page file on the HDD. Not having a page file is a bad idea. There's a lot of information on this. Getting rid of it does not cause what used to be in it to be in RAM nor does it speed things up at all. It can actually lower performance and/or cause certain programs to not work.Edited by timAHH - 6/19/11 at 2:41pm
