And despite what people say, you would be very hard pressed to get an average FPS of 60 with everything cranked up at 1080P and up resolutions. With Crossfire, Crysis seems to be choked down to around 30fps quite frequently -- it fares better with SLI but not by much.

In order to get close to 60fps average, you would probably be looking at two, even three GTX580s and even then, it would be iffy.

No. It is very much CPU dependent.

Do you have problems utilizing both of your 6950's in Crysis? My 2nd 6950 stays at stock clocks (150/250) during gameplay. I still get around 45-50 FPS but would like to fix this problem.

Still very cpu limited. Clocking my Xeon e5620 (very similar to an i7 with more l3 cache) from 2.4 to 3.8 Ghz gave me a 40 FPS boost in crysis at 1920x1200. FPS is never constant in that game, it is truly brutal on any hardware. But my setup got ~20-50 FPS cranked up at 1920x1200, with a 1.4 Ghz clock increase. If anything that shows both cpu dependence and a huge alleviation of an obvious bottleneck by a setup roughly equivalent if not a hair more powerful than a GTX 480.

Im in the BIOS. I had to plug the damn PC in with a VGA cable. HDMI had the BIOS screen blown up BAD.

Im actually playing the game MUCH better with my single XFX 6950 averaging 45 and not dropping below 35. GPU usage always above 95%.

My problem was when the other two cards would stay throttled down. When they throttled up, it was rocking hard.

I'll let everyone else be the judge here......

UT3 Screens (from this thread, I assumed maxed):

Crysis on MEDIUM settings from MY rig (don't make me post my options menu too....):

And finally, just for fun....Crysis on Highest possible settings from MY rig.

I mean c'mon man. Even on medium settings, its painfully obvious that Crysis looks better than UT3 does.

Is it safe to just pump the power settings to max in CCC for the dual cards? I always left it @ 0.

Also, I just did some auto OC in my BIOS. I have RealTemp running along with CPU-Z. And Prime 95 is rocking with the max heat setting.

My load is 100%, Core speed is 4326 MHZ (it changes when load changes?)

My temps haven't gotten above 59, 68, 64, and 64 after about 5 minutes. Whats next? Can I manually adjust the fan speed on the thermaltake frio?

What I go into the BIOS again it says my CPU speed is 3425....

Nah, I still think UT3 looks better Sure, the trees are kinda nice, but the geometry, the textures, the shaders and the lightning are somewhat pathetic. Here's another shot:

Just look at how much stuff there is. And every single asteroid you see is actually moving and the orange-ish "whirlwind" on the right also has a complex animation. I mean everything - geometry, textures, shaders, lightning are much more impressive in UT3 on max than in Crysis on medium.

Also take a look at the video:

Crysis at medium against Unreal Tournament III definitely wins in the color department, but I might say that's honestly largely why. If you take Unreal Engine III and give it the colors of Crysis...

...suddenly it swings the other way. I know that's not Unreal Tournament III itself, but it's the same engine. Unreal Tournament III technically looks better. The drab colors just make it look less pleasing offhand versus Crysis jungles.
