No it wouldn't be.
Because a x6 has 6 cores while games use 2-4 generally.
So even if it was bottlenecking, more than likely you wouldn't know it from cpu usage unless you directly set affinity to the number of actual cores the game used or had some commonsense when it came to bottlenecks and how they work.
I'm not saying my 1090T bottlenecked every game under the same, BFBC2 ran well enough on its own with my 1090T, however attempting to fraps it while playing was freaking rediculous, and my 965 had the same problem only worse when attempting to fraps League of Legends.
The difference is Phenom II with a single card is just barely enough, while a i5-2500k with SLI steamrolls just about everything out there.
Show me any AMD chip that can push two rendering gpus, advanced physx on a 9800GT and fraps the whole ordeal without getting cpu based stuttering and low fps issues.

My overclock was fine, it folded for days on end. Also talk is cheap.
And considering what I've seen from 5870s I'd say they're on par with my 470s in DX10, and below 470s in Tess games... The more tess, the more they fall behind.
