Weird Problems

So I have a seagate refurb I've had for 2 years now. SMART hasn't been tripped. But recently, I get random skips on everything just as you do a crap CD player. And these lead up to a complete freeze several minutes later. When this first happened I ran tests on everything. All OK. Ran quick tests on the HDD ran fine. Pulled it out to look at it and the serial to talk to seagate. When I put it back in worked just great.

Yesterday had the same issues. Everything checked out ok again. SATA and power connected properly. I pulled it out and shook it and hit it with my hand. Put it back in, restored windows and is still running great. These events only occur when I do something inside the case. (Like pulling memory sticks out to put heat spreaders on them and sitting on one stick and breaking it -.-)

This a sign of failure soon or just a mystical phenomenon involving magneto build up and releasing through shock? No idea what I'm saying
