Switched to the green team now need SLI advice.

So I made the switch. And while I have the cash would like to future proof in a way.

I got a Nvidia 560ti from best buy on the cheap(I know surprising huh?) and I have the extra cash to buy a second 560ti, so here is my question. The card I got was no 3rd party brand (like MSI, EVGA, ect.) its just a straight Nvidia reference card. So If I go to the egg and buy a 560ti what should I be looking for to match this card? I don't want to pair a 560ti with one that wont work or does it not matter?

Thanks guys gonna go see what this lil' guy can do now.

For looks you should just get another reference card. Other than that you're free to get whatever 560 TI you may like. Just make sure it isn't a 560 without the TI.

Yeah, it's there to emphasize that it's better than the regular 560.

Here is the explanation on the "Ti":

"About a decade ago when programmable shaders were new, NVIDIA identified its first graphics processors that used them under the GeForce 3 series and 4 series with the "Ti" marker (for example, GeForce 4 Ti 4800), to demarcate them from mainstream "MX" series, which lacked them (eg. GeForce 4 MX 440). Exactly a decade later, there are faint indications that NVIDIA is reintroducing the Ti marker. This was found out on close examination of a leaked 266.44 GeForce driver, which recognized an unreleased NVIDIA GPU as GeForce GTX 560 Ti. This baffles us. To begin with, this doesn't seem like a notebook GPU, second, we don't know of anything big in works at NVIDIA. One plausible explanation we can come up with is that NVIDIA is using "Ti" to simply make its GTX 560 SKU "look" presentable on paper, especially since the SKU may face competition from Radeon HD 6950 1 GB the moment it's released."

Not sure if that's accurate or not, it's just what I have read before.

P.S. you will love 2 560's in SLI

The 560 Ti has 384 CUDA cores enabled, vs the 560's 336. It's ~10% faster clock for clock.

If you mean reference cards without 3rd party branding, I think Best Buy is the only place that carries them. EVGA, PNY, Zotac & Sparkle all sell reference boards though.

Any 560ti will SLI with any other 560ti. Avoid ones that don't run at stock speeds as it can cause occasional annoyance (which it shouldn't but... well..).

You could SLI any two 560 Tis together. Stefy was just talking about aesthetics. But yes, that 560 Ti is reference and comes at stock clocks.

Prepare yourself for the awesomeness.
